Sitka, Alaska: Three brown bears frolic at the Fortress of the Bear wildlife sanctuary in the Tongass National Forest. The rescue center opened in 2007 near the city of Sitka and currently houses eight bears. Their mission is to rescue cubs, bring them back to health and provide a long, full life.
