Participants are welcome and encouraged to drop in to the community arts space and work on their projects during open studio hours in the weeks leading up to the events. The annual event is produced by the Fremont Arts Council, an organization that supports the arts and artists in and around the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. The celebration includes more than sixty community-based ensembles, giant puppets, stilt walkers, floats, and more. The parade ends with the Solstice Celebration at Gas Works Park at its terminus.
