A model of "The Gadget” atomic device on display at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The original device was used in the test of the first detonation of a nuclear weapon on July 16, 1945 at the Trinity site in White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
