University of Washington Cherry Trees in Bloom

Seattle, Washington: Origami flowers placed on the trunk of a cherry tree in the University of Washington Quad. Initially planted at the Washington Park Arboretum in 1939, the thirty Yoshino cherry trees were moved onto the Liberal Arts Quadrangle in 1962 where they draw thousands of visitors each spring.
