Comillas, Spain: Detail of the glazed ceramic sunflower tiles of El Capricho de Gaudi. Built as a summer house for Máximo Díaz de Quijano by Antoni Gaudí during his Oriental Stage, it is one of only three buildings by the architect outside Catalonia. The landmark is a favorite stop on the Camino del Norte. This less-traveled route of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage along the Northern coast of Spain starts in Irún, Basque Country and ends in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia.
