The company is resuming work toward restarting production of the 737 MAX since suspending production in January due to the worldwide grounding in 2019 after two deadly crashes. The company will resume all Commercial Airplanes production in phases at its Puget Sound-region facilities, after suspending operations last month in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Approximately 27,000 people in the region will return to production of the 747, 767, 777 and 787 programs by April 24.
