Gita Golias (center, in white), originally from the Czech Republic, is recognized as the oldest candidate for U.S. citizenship during a naturalization ceremony at Fisher Pavilion in Seattle on Monday, July 4, 2022. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington partnered with Seattle Center to host the annual ceremony welcoming 300 applicants from 74 countries as new citizens.
