A traditional marker in village of Cerredo guides the way on the Hospitales Route of the Camino Primitivo. In the distance is the village or Borres where a low, alternative route splits off. The Camino Primitivo, a less-traveled route of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, runs southwest from the Asturian capital of Oviedo, eventually joining the Camino Frances and ending in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia.
