Albuquerque, New Mexico: Pioneer Motel along Central Avenue. Originally built in1949, it is still in operation as a motel. The city of Albuquerque’s planning department supports the preservation of the neon signs along historic Route 66, many of which are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
