A growing memorial for victims of police violence including George Floyd and Breonna Taylor cover the Seattle Police Department’s closed East Precinct in the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest zone in Seattle on Wednesday, June 16, 2020. The zone, an occupation protest and self-declared autonomous zone, was established on June 8, 2020 when the Seattle Police Department closed the East Precinct after days of protests in the wake of the death of George Floyd while in Minneapolis police custody.
