Capital High School students take part in the Vigilante Day Parade with a float commemorating the legend of a military pilot purportedly flying between the spires of Cathedral of Saint Helena in 1945 in Helena Montana on Friday, May 7, 2021. The controversial annual parade, now in its 97th year celebrating Montana’s history of vigilante justice, returned this year as a “reverse” parade after last year’s cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic with stationary floats created by participating high school students for public viewing by car.
