Monument to the Pilgrim on Monte do Gozo in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The hill, located just outside of the city, is where pilgrims on the Way of St. James first view the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The city is the terminus of the Way of St. James, the ancient Catholic pilgrimage to the reputed burial place of Saint James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
